MIdterms? Already?

Quickie post while I am in between classes and procrastinating studying for the Statistics midterm which is coming up this Friday. I have officially beem brainwashed to believe that grades do not matter because frankly I cannot get myself to focus and study. Looks like I will be at the library while everyone else is at the Happy Hour tomorrow night.

Life is fab and super busy. There are guest speakers, club meetings, career informationals, and recruiting events all happening at the same time on the same days. Along with all of that I have to find time to get my assignments done before meeting to discuss them with my group. On top of all that jazz I have been elected the social chair for my cluster and am busy planning everyone's social lives.

Off to Corporate Finance...

Good to hear your life is happily filled.

Grades do matter, but not too much. After all is said and done, "P's get degrees". But do try to learn as much as possible. ;-)

peace

Grades do matter but not like you think. In school, they help you get better projects, impress professors, and give you some breaks.

In the work wold, no one cares about your grades - just what school did you go to, do you have a degree and can you do the work. But good grades can help in this way - the habits you develop to get good grades (research, good writing, presentations, insights, knowing how to put things together, focusing and concentration, looking up sources, etc.) can translate to many jobs in today's world.

Employers want people who not only have a degree, but know how to get along with others and how to treat co-workers and customers or others from other countries. At work it becomes a matter of dollars and cents. In school it was a grade. If you apply good skills now, whether you stay in teaching, work for government or non-profit or go into the business world, good skills always come in handy to get you ahead or breaks.

A good place to learn stuy and learning skills is www.slssystem.com

It's got books for college students and adults returning to college to get on track and learn how to learn and not only get the degree but be ahead and have the edge for you and any children you may have. Good luck.

my bike needs to stay as inconcpicuous as possible so i haven't named it. I will think about it though. 3 of my classmates' bikes have already been stolen and one of my classmates' cars was broken into. Berkeley has its problems like all towns but I would say theft is worse here than in most areas. Brownoski, I suggest the Google Calendar. Then you can see your study mates schedules too. I think I spend as much time organizing as I do working. Fun stuff.
